    Van Doorn was accused of forging the signature and stamp of notary public Loretta Nesting-Glass on a grant deed with the Laughlins' forged signatures and filing it with the Yuba-County Clerk Clerk-Recorder. The Laughlins didn't know of the transfer at the time, but knew Van Doorn was interested in the property because he had made offers for it, according to Van Doorn's probation report.
